Made in Japan 'Big E' Levi's Selvedge 

 

These are a Made in Japan reproduction of the 1966 Levi's 501 mid-rise jeans with regular, tapered fit and period-accurate details.

 

The 1966 501 was a style that was first re-introduced solely for the Japanese market in the 1990s before being re-re-introduced to the American market in the 00s through Levi's Vintage Clothing. Levis Vintage Clothing is a subsidiary of Levi's, which wasn’t started until 1996, though Levi's in Japan had been producing 'Big E' replicas since 1987.
